A dismantled conveyor system can become dozens of long frames, drives, legs, controls, and small components. Shipping it successfully requires an inventory that survives disassembly and a delivery sequence that supports reinstallation. Start the transport plan before the equipment is taken apart.
Create a section map
Have the owner or installation team assign identifiers to major sections and match them to a drawing or layout. Record which motors, guards, supports, and controls belong with each section.
Photograph labels and connections before disassembly. Qualified personnel should handle isolation and dismantling; the trucking assignment should not be assumed to include those tasks.
Prepare a transport inventory
Measure and weigh the prepared sections, crates, and accessories. Long conveyor frames can need support at particular points even when their total weight is modest.
Ask the equipment specialist to specify lifting, blocking, stacking, and orientation requirements. Package loose hardware so it can be matched to the right assembly rather than arriving as an unidentified collection of boxes.
Load for the installation sequence
Ask the receiving team which sections are needed first and how much staging space exists. If the system travels on several trucks, group freight around a workable unloading and installation order.
For example, delivering drive sections before their support structures may create extra handling if space is limited. Use the installer’s sequence rather than guessing from the largest pieces.
Define each handoff
Assign responsibility for rigging, loading, trucking, unloading, and final positioning. Reconcile section counts as equipment changes custody and document visible condition.
Quote from the completed piece list, origin and destination access, handling instructions, protection needs, and receiving schedule. Identify any parts whose final dimensions remain uncertain so the equipment plan can be confirmed before dispatch.
